A bit about me

My name is Josh, the creator of JFR Film. I am currently a student at the University of Nottingham in the UK. I have been restoring, testing and selling film cameras for the last 4 years.

My film photography journey started when a close friend showed me his film camera and I decided to get one for myself. I started out with an Olympus Trip 35 and quickly fell in love with taking film photos. Shortly after I started restoring cameras to sell on my Depop page and fast forward over 1000 sales, I decided I was ready to produce my own website!

Running this business alongside studying at University is incredible time consuming but it is something I really enjoy doing. My goal is to one day own my own physical shop and I am so grateful for all the support I receive from my customers and followers.

What cameras do you use?

I have shot over 100 different film cameras over my time running JFR Film but I try my best to keep my personal collection as small as possible to I only have 3 cameras!

  1. Pentax LX
  2. Mamiya m645 Super
  3. Fuji GA645

However, I do have lots of other cameras that I love to use, you can read about some them here.

JFR Film has given me the opportunity to improve my own photography and I have the goal of working on some professional photography projects one day! Checkout some of my favourite photographs below:

A big thank you to Kez, my better half, who is (almost) always willing to step up as a model for me to practice my skills!
