About Us

That's me! You may not recognise me as I spend most my time behind the camera rather than in front of it! My name is Josh, I created JFR Film in 2020 while I was a student at the University of Nottingham. I have been restoring, testing and selling film cameras ever since! 

How did JFR Film start?

My film photography journey started when a close friend showed me his film camera and I decided to get one for myself. I started out with an Olympus Trip 35 and quickly fell in love with taking film photos. Shortly after I started restoring cameras to sell on my Depop page and fast forward over 1000 sales, I decided I was ready to move to my own website!

We are currently only online for sales but you can find us at events around the UK, see our visit us page for information on our next pop ups. Our dream is to one day have a physical store for you to visit!

All of our cameras are thoroughly checked to ensure they are working properly using professional camera testing machines. This allows us to check shutter speeds, light meters and auto exposure settings. New light seals are fitted and any repairs are completed where necessary.
